Synopsis

In 1965–66, the Indonesian army killed an estimated one million people accused of being communists. The killers were never tried. The Look of Silence is the companion film to Oppenheimer’s The Act of Killing. The film centers on Adi, an optometrist whose older brother was killed in the massacres.
